National Register Nominations

Gregory Dietrich Preservation possesses all of the requisite research, survey, analysis and writing expertise to successfully complete a nomination, as well as experience with various state and federal agencies to ensure a streamlined approvals process. A National Register Nomination forms the basis for both state and federal historic property designations, officially known as “listings” on the State and National Registers of Historic Places. A variety of property types are eligible for listing, including buildings, districts, structures, objects and sites. Completion of a National Register Nomination form requires intensive-level research related to a property’s development and context, as well as in-depth narratives that include a physical description and an analysis of significance related to important events, individuals and architecture. Listing on the National Register of Historic Places not only affords national recognition to a historic property, but can also qualify it for historic tax credit and grant programs that would otherwise be unavailable.
